Gerry Henne was our close friend and guitar player in The Raging Marys, the San Jose, Calif.-based offshoot of London Down from 1988-1991. Hilarious, genuine and with a very thoughtful take on life, Gerry brought a lot of laughter and joy to people in his life. He never cared much for what others thought of him and carved his own path. He had only played guitar for a couple of years when he joined the band, but he rose to the occasion and contributed some amazing guitar parts. In the days after his death on Jan. 22, we re-recorded "Rachael Dear," a song from our 1989 album "Birthday" that Gerry played an incredible solo on as a tribute to him. We love and miss you, brother. You are a part of our souls forever. -- Ken, Chris and Steve
